About Us

Boarding

Sevenoaks School Summer Programmes aims to give students a structured, relaxed and friendly home where they can develop as young adults, full of self-esteem and with a sense of responsibility.

Our boarding staff are committed, caring and approachable. For students who are interested in potentially studying at Sevenoaks School, or another top UK boarding school, in the future this is the ideal way to get a taste of boarding life.

boarding house staff

Each house has a housemaster or housemistress and two houseparents. There are always two members of staff on duty 24 hours a day. Their role is very diverse but a heavy focus is placed on the health and welfare of the students. If a student is unwell, staff will make sure they are looked after and medical attention is sought when necessary. Staff live in the boarding house for the duration of the summer, so they can be contacted by students at any time – whether it’s for a quick chat at lunchtime or at 3am if a student feels unwell or unhappy.

“Thank you so much for caring for me, you’ve made me feel so at home.”

Our Houses

Sevenoaks School has eight boarding houses, all with first-class facilities and each with its own characteristics. Older students are generally placed in single and double bedrooms while younger students usually stay in larger dormitories with several beds.

Aisher House

Aisher opened its doors in 2019 and promptly won two prestigious architecture awards: RIBA South East Award and RIBA National Award. The boarding house is situated in the heart of the Park Grange estate, located close to the school’s extensive facilities but also tucked away from the immediate hustle and bustle of the busy school.

Park Grange

Built in 1869, Park Grange (PG) has been a boarding house since 1948. It is located in a wonderful position, in close proximity to the main campus, adjacent to three other boarding houses and with views across Knole, the school grounds and the rooftops of Sevenoaks.

The INTERNATIONAL CENTRE

The International Centre (IC ) was established in 1962, to accommodate students from around the world. The boarding house sits on the edge of the Park Grange estate, it has superb views over the sports pitches and is just a short walk from the main school campus.
